Article Submission
Etnográfica, the journal from the CEAS (Centro de Estudos de Antropologia Social – Social Anthropology Research Centre) is a scientific social and cultural anthropology journal that publishes biannually articles in Portuguese, English, Spanish and French. Articles submitted to the journal are read by the Editorial Committee and by two outside referees. Etnográfica only accepts previously unpublished work.
Manuscripts submitted for refereeing must be sent to the Etnográfica email (etnografica@ceas.iscte.pt) and be presented in Word format; If authors do not have access to email or Internet facilities, a hard copy, along with a CD or diskette copy, should be sent to the journal’s snail mail address (see below).
Manuscripts should not exceed 60,000 characters (with spaces) and include both title, abstract (under 120 words) and 6 keywords in English and Portuguese (or the article’s original language). Images (photographs, drawings, diagrams, tables, etc.) are accepted, as long as they are of high quality, and must be submitted in separate files. Reference notes must be ordered as footnotes. Examples of the style for citation and bibliographical references can be found in previous issues of the journal.
