This Nucleus was formed to perform research activities and scientific promotion in anthropology of health related areas. CEAS has promoted a series of research projects in this area over the last years. This research has been directed towards medical anthropology and issues related to health, disease and strategies of cure among different gnoseological systems within multicultural contexts. Various activities are being developed on the topic of health and migration, as well as 3 postdoctoral researches. This nucleus also intends to develop advanced education by creating a Master’s Degree on the Anthropology of Health within ISCTE’s Department of Anthropology.
